NanoLED Violet Laser - 405nm - The violet picosecond laser source

A turn-key source of violet picosecond pulses

Our violet laser source is based on the latest Nichia GaN laser diode and generates picosecond pulses in the 395nm to 415nm wavelength range (405nm nominal - please let us know if you need a specific wavelength) - suitable for exciting a wide range of fluorescence probes. Standard pulse durations of <200ps (<100ps typical) mean that decay components <50ps can measured when used in conjunction with Jobin Yvon IBH decay analysis reconvolution software and our TBX-04 detection module.

For applications requiring higher pulse energies, the -07N version features an output power 100 times greater than the standard version with a pulse duration typically <1ns.

The NanoLED-07 and NanoLED-07N laser sources are designed for use with our controller module and are therefore interchangeable with the entire range of NanoLED sources (including our UV, blue, orange and red LED sources). We also offer interchangeable red laser sources with output wavelengths of 635nm and 650nm. Additional NanoLED sources can be purchased as required and these can be used without requiring any recalibration or adjustment to the controller module.

NanoLED casings are custom machined and gold-plated to achieve the highest level of electromagnetic suppression. The NanoLED system uses the same suppression technology developed for use in our Mark 4 Nanosecond Flashlamp and TBX-04 photon detection module - only Jobin Yvon IBH products offer this level of protection for your data.

All Jobin Yvon IBH laser diode heads contain built-in precision optics that can be easily adjusted from a high quality collimated beam to a tightly focused spot. A range of interchangeable apertures are also supplied to allow optimisation of beam circularity and intensity. In contrast with more costly products from some other suppliers, this feature is supplied as standard with Jobin Yvon IBH laser sources. Coupling is achieved using a quick-release 35mm bayonet-style mounting, which is compatible with Spindler & Hoyer's Microbench optical bread boarding system. For existing Jobin Yvon IBH system users, a range of adapters are available allowing easy coupling onto a spare port of the System 5000 sample chamber. We can also supply mounting adapters and free advice to those wishing to upgrading spectrometers from other manufacturers.

NanoLED is a millennium product.
