 NanoLED Orange LED - 605nm - The Orange LED Source




Description

The NanoLED-08 source produces nanosecond pulses around 605nm and is suitable for exciting a range of fluorescence probes including Rhodamine 101 and Texas Red. A typical pulse duration of 1.4ns means that decay components as short as 100ps can measured when used in conjunction with Jobin Yvon IBH decay analysis reconvolution software.

The NanoLED-08 source is designed for use with our controller module and is interchangeable with the entire range of NanoLED sources (including our violet and red laser sources). Additional NanoLED sources can be purchased as required and these can be used without requiring any recalibration or adjustment to the controller module.

NanoLED casings are custom machined and gold-plated to achieve the highest level of electromagnetic suppression. The NanoLED system uses the same suppression technology developed for use in our Mark 4 Nanosecond Flashlamp and TBX-04 photon detection module - only Jobin Yvon IBH products offer this level of protection for your data.

Each LED-based NanoLED source contains an adjustable aspheric lens allowing straightforward incorporation into your optical system. Coupling is achieved using a quick-release 35mm bayonet-style mounting, which is compatible with Spindler & Hoyer's Microbench optical bread boarding system. For existing Jobin Yvon IBH system users, a simple adapter flange is available allowing easy coupling onto the entrance port of the System 5000 excitation monochromator. We can also supply mounting adapters and free advice to those wishing to upgrading spectrometers from other manufacturers.

The NanoLED is a millennium product.

Typical Pulse Profile

NanoLED-08 instrumental profile recorded using a Jobin Yvon IBH 5000U fluorescence lifetime system. Pulse FWHM is 1.4ns at 605nm.

The pulse profile is presented in logarithmic format to illustrate the quality of pulses generated by the NanoLED system. Note the complete absence of tail. This feature makes NanoLED the obvious choice for measurements involving samples that are weakly fluorescing, fast decaying or highly scattering.
